My second trip to Africa:
My second trip to Africa:
I was able to go to Accra & Cape Coast, Ghana (West Africa) in August of 2018. In the spirit of Sankofa (They Way Out is Back Through...), it was a cathartic and empowering experience to visit Ghana during the Emancipation Commemoration.

It remains important to spend time in Africa and study/learn from those who remain. The opportunity afforded a visit to the Elmina Castle where our ancestors where sold, Bonwire Kente Center, and villages to learn specific customs (including the entrepreneurial experiences among women).
